  • My Beloved…

Back from the hols

We’re back from our first trip out of Singapore (and JB!), the three of us, with Ibu and Ayah! It was SO MUCH FUN, even though we spent most of the time in the car going around in circles (we got lost A LOT in Malacca). Another thing we did ALL THE TIME was EAT. In Malacca, it was the usual Shakey’s Pizza craving-fulfillment, also went to a coffeeshop that serves authentic Kampung food (Selera Kampung), and in KL, it was Nando’s (ibu was hooked on to it so we had the chicken those two days) and LOADS of ice-cream.

Ooyah had been such a good baby. She slept most parts of the journey, i guess the sound of the engine and the cruising makes her real sleepy. And when she woke up, she’d be all smiles, and cooing a lot!

But of course the highlight of the trip was Ooyah’s first dip in the swimming pool! It was hilarious as she cried a bit because she hates cold water, and then grew to love it SO much she fell asleep in her papa’s arms and cried when we took her out! We made her put on her bikini, which was a tad too big, and as i carried her, back against my chest, she was so enthralled by the shimmery water that she popped her head forward and her face went into the water! Twice! It was so cute…

And as soon as we brought her out, she fell asleep in an instant. So tired from all the swimming and boucing….

Ooyah slept soundly the whole day after that. And the hotel cot that was loaned to us for free made us decide- we’re gonna get her a cot, FINALLY. Initially we were worried she wouldn’t like sleeping in her own cot (she’s been sleeping with us on her pooh sofa-bed which is placed on our bed). So now that we know she’s all chirpy after a good night’s sleep in her bed, we’re gonna go ahead and invest in a good one. We’re thinking of life baby’s real nice bed…but it is really quite pricey…otherwise we’ll just stick to the normal cots that are everywhere.

Well, in all, it was a fruitful trip…i had a good time with my beloved family, and knowing ooyah took to travelling and swimming so well, we”ll be looking forward to more trips with her!
